Our client is one of the fastest-growing software companies in Canada. They are a startup studio that builds and operates multiple agent-powered SaaS companies that automate distribution for businesses of all sizes. Their internal expertise in distribution has informed their R&D and resulted in rapid revenue growth, with portfolio companies scaling to $1M in revenue in three months on average, and the most recent launch taking half that time. They have welcomed select strategic investors to their cap table and advisory ranks, but they have been profitable since inception and fund new projects with revenue.

Their portfolio offers businesses the capabilities of entire go-to-market teams through web applications that lean heavily on emerging technologies in natural language processing and generative AI. These products handle customer engagement and outreach, automate web and social platform activities, run A/B tests, and integrate with a range of customer systems and third-party platforms. Think of the portfolio as entire growth-hacking teams distilled into turnkey web applications.

As a full-stack engineer, you’ll be stepping into a small, dynamic team in its scale-up phase. The engineering team is currently six members strong and is led by the organization’s CTO. The team allocates cycles to the projects with the largest market opportunity, and engineers move between projects in response to demand, as they share an underlying tech stack. Hiring is underway to accelerate the development of a highly anticipated social-media automation product with a full order book.

Key responsibilities 

• Full stack software engineering: Design and implement a wide variety of services including APIs, customer-facing dashboards, virtual browser orchestration services and web scrapers

• System scalability & performance engineering: Participate in technical design discussions to ensure systems scale effectively as usage volumes and feature complexity grow

• Prompt engineering: Fine-tune LLM and VLM prompts to generate high quality text and visual content

• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with product designers and customer-facing teams to ensure delivery roadmaps are aligned with market demand and customer feedback

• Continuous learning & adaptability: Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices; experiment with new approaches to improve efficiency and strengthen the services over time

• Database & storage: PostgreSQL, Supabase

• CI/CD: GitHub Actions

Your know-how

• You have 3+ years of experience shipping production-grade, customer-facing software

• You have experience designing and implementing backend and frontend systems

• You have experience shipping and maintaining React web applications

• You have a fantastic command of English

It’s a bonus if

• You have experience founding or helping scale an AI and/or B2B SaaS venture

• You have experience with DevOps practices/technologies and development tooling

• You have experience with prompt engineering and fine-tuning

• You have experience with web scraping and browser testing tools
